About Us
Literacy Learning Walks
We are an independent educational institution committed to providing an adventure whilst being educated by a qualified Guide. Participants walk, talk , observe, take picture and participate in customised activities which are relevant to their English level. English is learnt through what our environment presents to us. We have been known to stop and listen to someone play music on the streets of Melbourne (discussing the chorus of a song) to stumbling over someone performing a mime act thus prompting language exchange about the messages relayed to us, by the artist. We endeavor to choose Landscapes which are enriching and fun which are sometimes planned, and other times savored the moment.
Mission Statement
Our mission at ‘Literacy Learning Walks’ is to develop a quality based and unique experience to those who want to learn English in its relevant time frame. Assessment takes place formatively and we strive for excellence through a hands-on and spontaneous approach.
Our Core Values
Our learning and teaching is relevant and inspires people to have a go at speaking in English. We are determined in our approach to learning English, creative in our thinking and bold in our ambitions.
Our Philosophy
At ‘Literacy Learning Walks’ we make sure that everyone leaves the experience feeling like they understand their environment that little bit more. That every participant becomes a little more OR a lot more confident in communicating (in English) with others with in the community.
